2. Hosting and server log files

This website is operated by lightsignalmedia.group (Cologne) and hosted on servers in Germany under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). When you visit, the server automatically stores the information your browser transmits (IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer, browser and operating system) solely for secure and reliable operation. Log files are deleted after 45 days at the latest. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

3. Enquiry form and contact

If you send a request via the enquiry form, your details (occasion, number of guests, preferred and alternative date, package and extras, name, e-mail, optionally phone and your message) are sent to us by e-mail via the web server. We use them only to process your request and send you a quote, and do not pass them on. If you ask for a caterer recommendation, we name suitable businesses; we only pass on your details if you explicitly ask us to. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR. Requests that do not lead to a booking are deleted after twelve months at the latest; statutory retention periods apply to bookings.

4. Availability calendar

The calendar only shows whether a day is free, reserved or booked. No names, occasions or other details of hosts are published. The data is stored on this website's server; no data is transmitted to third parties when the calendar is displayed.

5. Cookies, local storage and consent

On your first visit a notice asks which additional content you want to allow: external content (the map on the contact page) and statistics (Google Analytics). Your choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and does not leave your device. You can change or withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. The content management system may set a technically necessary session cookie (§ 25 (2) TDDDG). Your light or dark mode choice is also stored only in your browser.

6. Map (OpenStreetMap, only after consent)

On the contact page you can display a map from OpenStreetMap. It only loads after you allow external content or activate the map individually. Your browser then retrieves map data from servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation (St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom), transmitting your IP address. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG).

7. Google Analytics (only with consent)

If you agree to statistics, this website uses Google Analytics 4 by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to evaluate how the website is used. Google Analytics uses cookies; data is transferred to Google servers, possibly in the USA. IP addresses are shortened. Legal basis is solely your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings”. Measurement ID: [G-XXXXXXXXXX].

8. Fonts and content

All fonts, icons and images are loaded directly from this website's server. No content is loaded from Google Fonts or other external providers, except the map and Google Analytics after your consent.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Simply contact vermietung@heckershäuschen.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the competent one is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
